Findley’s Party
This was a pretty action packed week for Adin.
Of course we had swim class on Monday, but the fun began Wednesday when we had someone at the house to do a little carpentry work for us. We needed to have some rotting wood replaced on the front porch, and have the window sill and trim replaced in the living room.
Adin did a fantastic job as site foreman for the day. We followed the guy around the house, checked out his tools, watched him cut the wood and inspected his work. Adin really liked the pounding and sawing noises.
Friday and Saturday Doug spent the day painting and caulking and finishing up a few other odd jobs, so Lisa took Adin to a park by Lake Washington to hang out and have some lunch. Doug also had the first of many board meetings for the preschool to attend on Friday.
Sunday our neighbor’s son Findley had his second birthday party and we were invited. It was quite fun…they rented a little train that drove us around the neighborhood and Adin seemed to enjoy the rides. It was pretty impressive actually.
Adin is continuing to expand his walking distances and is gaining confidence, though he still likes to walk between Lisa and I for the most part. One of these days we are expecting him to wake up and just start going for it!
